The Royal Tiger Mutation

Not much is known about the Royal Tiger Mutation's origins or cause, other than it seems to effect non-gelded males more than geldings or mares. The mutation can come in any range of colors, but the stripes are ALWAYS darker then the under patterns. The under patterns also come as a gradient, or they progress from a lighter shade to a darker shade, yet all in same hue. For example, and under pattern could not have a gradient from blue to green. The gradient must go from blue to blue.

The under patterns can exist alone and anywhere on the body. Stripes MUST be on top of n under pattern, and they can never wrap all the way around the body. Stripes can originate anywhere on the body, but they must be connected to an 'end', or where the horses body rounds to the other side. In other words, a stripe can not start and end on the same side of a horses body.
Stripes are most common along the neck area. It is extremely rare that they are found on the face or legs, yet that is possible. Stripes do not have to extend past the under pattern, but it is rare that they do not.

The Royal Tiger Mutation can be seen on virtually any horse coat color, but they are most common in whites and greys.

Under patterns will NEVER carry over into the mane. Stripes can, but this is extremely rare.
